Terribly British

Hello!

Until now, thoughts have merely been collected and thrown into this space. I think it's about time that I cut out the middle-man (that is, the throwing), and make this space the jar in which these "thoughtdrops" collect first-hand :)

And so begin some musings; hopefully more frequent updates and a mish-mash/splish-splash of thoughts in various forms...

This week I feel terribly British. There has been strawberry picking;

There have been indoor picnics (British due to the prompt; our beautiful persuasion in weather towards rain):

Both with the darling James; whom has been working on the farm in the later days of the past week whilst I have been baking home-made bread - c'est la vie!
Also, three of my girlfriends have been spied today gallavanting about the oh-so-English "do" of Wimbledon! Steph, Han and Hannah - you lucky things! - click here to watch their interview with Helen Skelton!

Tomorrow I'm going to watch my little sister perform in her last dance show with her current school before she goes to university this september...Tissues at the ready!

That's all for now my lovelies - More Soon!

What the World Needs Now...

A collection of hearts; the first two are from Leeds, UK and the last one is from Romania, Europe.

I'm going to start posting more photos I think...

So we shall start with these;

I really enjoy train journeys. I think one day I may film one, though there lies the danger of detracting from the beauty of looking at it through your own eyes...
Yesterday I travelled from Leeds to Liverpool to see a group of my best girl friends. On this particular journey I really rather enjoyed "lines".
Hence these photos :)

A Mother Rain.

Two puddles expand
By the pathway,
By the gate,
It catches my eye;
I slow my pace.

Each tiny drop
Brings each puddle nearer
To the other, yet still
I can't see any clearer.

For a second at least,
The rain seems to hang,
Suspended mid-air,
As I stretch out my hand,

Palm facing upwards,
I squint to the clouds,
The rain starts again,
Though makes little sound,

I can see your rays,
They're there straight away,
Breaking through black,
Glittering the grey,

I take a breath,
You're here, and it feels
as though each tiny drop
Has the power to heal.

Hair all a-tangle,
Clothes all sodden,
I gaze down the path,
Battered and trodden,

But it's right on this path
That your angel-rays shine,
And I smile, for we know
That it shall be just fine,

The rain won't just stop,
The clouds shall still loom,
But when I look to the puddles,
There are no longer two,

Each drop the sky poured,
They drank, and they grew,
It brought them together,
To share reflections of you.

Your light shines out now
Not from two seperate parts,
But more bright and more clear,
In one union of hearts.

I Promise.

My heart is crossed
And I hope to live
To be there for your son
To love him & give
All of the things
You know he deserves
That you're trusting me with
Through unspoken words
It was always you,
the only one,
who knew just how much
I love your son,
I'll take good care of him
and,
though you're gone,
I'll never forget
Your acceptance and love

Constellations of Us

I shall take the time,
Each second, a star
And shape each one
Then throw it far

Soon minutes shall form
Then hours, then days,
Quaint constellations
Amongst midnight haze

Each one, my dear
A part of me
My heart's creation;
our dynasty

I shall take the time
And make it our own
A future shaped from stars;
Heart-felt and Heart-grown.

There's a daisy out there
With perfect petals
The perfect number
To land just right
If I had happened to find this flower
All of her petals would have fallen tonight,
Yes, All of her petals,
In order,
Tonight.
